Renal Services opens its 11th dialysis unit in Peterborough

26th April, 2017
April 2017 sees Renal Services open its 11th dialysis unit in the UK with the new clinic being named after Dr Chandra Mistry, who is an expert on renal medicine, a dialysis pioneer and who has worked at Peterborough Hospital for more than 20 years. Dr Chandra Mistry was accompanied by his son, the actor Jimi Mistry, who officially opened the new dialysis unit.

The lives of dialysis patients in Peterborough are being radically improved by the opening of this brand new 10 station clinic at the city’s hospital. This new unit enables us to offer regular dialysis to all local patients from the Peterborough area, which will transform their care experience, as at present a significant number of them have had to travel to neighbouring dialysis units three times a week for treatment.

Renal Services has designed, developed and commissioned the new unit and provides all equipment and facilities management, with clinical care retained by North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with University of Leicester’s Hospitals NHS Trust.
